king william queen anne
This remarkable two story historic home in the King William neighborhood in San Antonio is bursting with artful charm. Original inlaid wood floors and soaring high ceilings with delicate architectural details throughout. Walking into the home, you experience the careful juxtaposition between the owner's Mexican collection of art and treasures and the traditional Queen Anne character of the residence. The mixing of rustic and antique woods, wrought iron and embroidered furnishings with over-the-top, bright, vivid colors inspired us to create a Frida Kahlo-esque jungle in their primary bath remodel. Like most Mexican haciendas with pockets of outdoor atriums we brought the outside inside.
Nature driven, the bath walls, made of modern day talavera exhibit a botanic mural and is framed by a saturated moss green paint sharing spanish energy at every plane. Contemporary fixtures and sourced antiques curate the perfect balance of craft and character in this revisioned bath.
